SalesMarty

Changelog

What's new and what we've fixed, newest first.

New features in SalesMarty, newest first.

Latest

  • Pictures and sample products to start with. Pick a product or variant picture from a built-in library of 201 illustrations, and when you sign up choose Café, Retail shop or Market stall to start with editable sample products, or start empty. Available in English and Spanish.
  • A fresh look, same layout. Every screen, from the register to your reports, has a cleaner, more consistent design with icons, easier-to-tap buttons on phones and tablets, and a new SalesMarty logo.
  • Staff activity log. See who did what in your business: sales, discounts, price and stock changes, refunds, staff changes and settings, with filters, time-zone-correct times and a spreadsheet download. You choose how large a discount has to be before it gets its own line.
  • Import and export products with variants. Export your products to a spreadsheet, edit prices, costs and barcodes, add new sizes or colours, and import the file back. Your old product files still import exactly as before.
  • Sales by variant. Reports can now show sales per size, colour or other option, with a CSV download, and slow-moving stock is listed per variant.
  • A photo for each variant. Upload a photo per variant; it shows on the register's picker and quick keys, with the product photo as the fallback.
  • Add or remove an option on a product that already has variants, without losing any SKU, stock or sales history.
  • Cancel a waiting QR payment. Owners and managers can cancel a QR payment the customer hasn't paid yet and take payment another way. The cart is kept so you can finish the sale straight away.
  • If a bank payment fails, a new QR code appears. The register switches to a fresh payment code for the same sale on its own.
  • Refunds reversed by the card network show as their own "Refund reversed" line in shift and period reports.
  • Product variants: sizes, colours and other options. Give a product up to three options (for example Size and Colour). Each combination has its own SKU, barcode, price, stock and reorder point. On the register, tap the product and pick the variant, or scan the variant's barcode. Receipts and refunds show exactly what was sold, such as "T-shirt - M / Red".
  • Install the register on your tablet or phone. Add it to your home screen so it opens full screen like an app. If the connection drops, the register tells you and keeps your cart until you're back online.
  • Shifts and a cash drawer. Open a shift with your starting cash, record cash in and out, and close it with a blind count. Owners and managers get a Z-report with sales by payment type, refunds and totals per cashier, which you can print or export. Shifts are optional.
  • Quick keys. Pin your best sellers as big one-tap tiles on the register, give each a colour, and drag to reorder them.
  • Archive products and customers instead of deleting them, one at a time or in bulk. Past sales, receipts and reports keep working, and you can restore them any time.
  • Card refunds stay in step with your card payments, and failed refunds are put back on the order so you can refund the customer again.
  • Bank debits (ACH and SEPA) complete the sale when the money arrives.
  • Stripe QR codes now show reliably at checkout, and tapping pay twice no longer records a sale twice.
  • Saving Settings no longer clears your manager PIN when you leave the box empty.
  • Pages for retail shops, cafés and market stalls, and a refreshed look across the site.

October 2026

  • Refund tools for owners: see refunds still waiting on the card network and retry them, or mark a refund as handled outside the app.
  • Refunds on discounted sales are now pro-rated correctly and use the tax actually charged.
  • A clearer Features page and nicer link previews when you share the site.

August 2026

  • First release: point of sale with barcode search, parked and split-payment sales, inventory and purchase orders, receipts and refunds with credit notes, staff accounts, sales and tax reports, accounting exports, a 14-day free trial, and one $19/month plan with card payments.
